Jonathan flew out of Kano last night; I’m staying on for a few more days to sight-see and catch some more dust. I think there’s a song by Primus called “Sawdust Boogers” bust around here we have Saharan dust. In Kano the phrase “Free (as in beer)” is not very usable, so I have coined the term “Free (as in dust)” for use in the north.

Today is a cold and dusty day. It must have been a mere 26 degrees this morning and visibility is cut by dust to about 200m. Jonathan tells me it’s 0 degrees and sunny in Edinburgh, so I’m not sure where it is best to be.
